What we have done today:
- We played make a word.
- We reviewed our visit with Jacqueline Guest and started thinking about which aboriginal group we would like to base our story on.
- We went to music and practiced the first part of Sittin’ on the Dock of the Bay and singing Me and My Kite.
- We had a math problem working on how Tyler spent 65 cents on an ice cream for his sister. We practiced our skip counting when adding up our dimes and nickels.
- We read to self.
- We went to the gym and worked on some circus skills.
- We put the words for Me and My Kite into our poetry folders. We noticed that the third time we sing the one verse; the last line is different.
- We continued to sketch and make jot notes about the artifacts from the Glenbow Museum. We also found out what some of the things are and what they are made from.
Daily Challenge:
Play ‘Make-a-word’ with your family. How many words can you come up with together? Can you think of a word that might be good for playing Make-a-word with the class?
