Next Wednesday is our first walk to the ridge to look at some seasonal changes. If you are interested in walking with us please let Andrea know. We will be walking after PoWer Hour at 2:00 and return around 2:45ish.
PoWer Hour
Everyone is sorted into the sessions. A coloured slip of paper is going home today to let you know what session your child is in. I have a master list so no worries if it gets lost. Just let me know and I can tell you.

What we did today:
- In gym we played Four Corners with lots of movement and exercise. (KH and BS)
- We wrote down what we were excited about grade one in our monthly writing sample. (EE)
- We did a See, Think, and Wonder with a picture made by Seurat in our visual journal. (BH)
- We went to the library after lunch and some of us exchanged our books. (CG and GO)
- Some of us were creating puzzles using the pattern blocks. It was kind of hard because the shapes kept moving. Others were using the blocks to fit into a puzzle shape.
- We finished off making 5. We made 5 in many different ways. (MJ-S)
- We played bump in the morning. (LB)
- We had book-time where we looked at and shared books with others. (GT)
Daily Challenge:
Today, we looked at a piece of art by Seurat. We used a thinking routine called See, Think and Wonder. We initially looked at a piece of art, commenting on things that we saw, then we thought about the art (Did I like it? What does it make me think of?), and then we wondered about the painting (I wonder how he did that? I wonder if it was painted or coloured with crayons?). Take a look at the image in the blog and have your family look at the art and help them do a See, Think, and Wonder.
