Heating issues:
We are having some heating issues in our classroom. A part is on order and we are waiting for it to come in. We have to leave the damper open so that means we have cold air coming in from outside and that makes our room cold. Then the heat starts and makes our room very warm. During this time, it might be helpful if you send in a sweater or hoodie that is easily put on and removed as needed. Thank you for your patience as we deal with the changing weather of Calgary.

What have we learned today:
Please note that we have changed our way of describing our day. Instead of sharing what we have done today, we are sharing what we may have learned personally or together as a large group.
- We reviewed how to get into Raz-kids and learned that if you read the story you will get more points. (CG)
- We looked at some old poems today in our poetry folder. We learned it was kind of nice to review old poems. (GO)
- We learned while doing calendar that is a special day for a couple of students in the school in that this is only their second real birthday because they were born on a leap year. (KH)
- In learning centers, I learned that you have to look carefully at the instructions so I can do good work. (LK)
- In gym, I learned how to do a safety landing when jumping off of equipment. (MJ-S)
- In Journals, we learned to write down our thoughts carefully so that we can read them later. (SZ)
Daily Challenge:
We played Race to 100 today. Some people found it difficult to keep track of the cubes they were counting as they put them on the game board. What solution did we come up with to try and help us keep better track of the new cubes we are adding to our board? There were a couple of really good solutions. Can you remember which ones they were?
