What have we learned today:
Please note that we have changed our way of describing our day. Instead of sharing what we have done today, we are sharing what we may have learned personally or together as a large group.
- In gym, we learned how to walk while dribbling a ball. (LB)
- We had learning centers. We learned a new game using the short vowel sounds. (CS and ES)
- In quiet reading, I noticed that there were lots of books that we had to put away. (CM)
- In math we learned how to solve a problem that we all thought was impossible. (CG)
- I learned in learning centers that if you did a card last round then you need to do a different writing activity this round. (KH)
- In music we were learning about high and low sounds using a game with a fox. (BH and BB)
Daily Challenge:
Below you will find a picture of the math problem we worked on today. Ask your child what the ‘rules’ are to solving the problem. See if you or your family can solve it without any help from your child.
‘Rules’:
- Three containers – two moves
- Can only remove the same number of cookies from the containers as one move. (ex. If removing one cookie from a container than you need to move a cookie from the other containers if there are any in there or enough to remove that number). That consists of one move.
