We Club:
Week of Water
The We Club has put together a week of activities to help support Unicef:
On Wednesday with a donation ($1), the students can make an origami frog.
On Thursday with a donation ($1), the students can play dodgeball.
At morning recess, the students can purchase a friendship bracelet for a dollar and it will be delivered to their friend on Thursday or to the classroom to take home to give to their friend.
Poetry Party:
We will be sharing on May 25th. Some people need to remember to bring their poetry folders to school so they can practice with their group or on their own depending on their choices.

- We had Book Study. (RS)
- Today, we practicing tennis skills in the gym. (JR)
- After gym, some of us signed out books and some of us just read books in the library. (MH)
- To cool ourselves down after recess, we practiced our poems and reader’s Theatre. (WF and PM)
- In Math, we wrote about our graph from our science experiment. (CL)
Daily Challenge:
Today, we went outside to experiment with plastercine, pennies, and water. We were trying to see if we could make a “boat” that would hold pennies. It was fun playing with the boats and water outside.
We have come up with some questions that we might have to do some research. Have a discussion at home about these thoughts and maybe do some research as a family.
Why do we float in water?
How do docks float?
Why did some of our boats float and some did not?
If we cut off some of the boat, will it still float?
