Hello everyone,
Parent Volunteer needed:
We will be working in the Idea Lab on Tuesday, April 26 from 1:15 to 2:30 and then again on Tuesday, May 3 from 1:15 to 2:30. We will need at least two parent volunteers to help us build.
Toys/Fidgets in Room 9
We have allowed small toys/stuffies in the classroom to be used as fidget tools or to be played with at recess but we are finding that they are being a distraction to the learning process in the classroom. We are requesting that these toys/stuffies be left at home.
Student-Led Conferences
They are being held on Thursday evening and Friday morning. You can book them on-line. Check the Admin blog for further instructions.
Your child will lead you through their current learning and maybe take you back to the beginning of the year. Plan for 30 minutes before or after your time slot for your child to share.
There is a 15 minute booked time slot with the teacher but please remember that there will be other students and parents in the classroom at the same time. If you have anything you wish to discuss privately, then please feel free to book another time to meet with the teacher.
Make sure you don’t miss Picture Day
Spring Picture Day is Wednesday, April 20.
Your child’s proofs will arrive home after Spring Picture Day.
Complete the flyer and send to school with your child on Spring Picture Day.
Celebration of Learning – May 5th – 6:00 – 7:00
We are busy learning about different things to build our community and we would like to share them with you on this evening. There are two parts to this celebration. The first one will be in the classroom to share from 6:00 – 6:30pm and then we will go to the gym to share our songs and dances from 6:30 – 7:00pm.
We would like the students to dress up as their favourite community helper. This does not have to match the building your child has chosen to build.

What have we learned today:
Please note that we have changed our way of describing our day. Instead of sharing what we have done today, we are sharing what we may have learned personally or together as a large group.
Daily Challenge:
Share with your family how you took your picture of your building and turned it into a blueprint.
