Hello Everyone,
Guest Author
Ordering Ms. Guest's Books: If you would like to order any of her books and have her personally autograph a book for your child, we have sent home an order form. We are currently reading "Belle of Batoche" in our classroom. *This is OPTIONAL. Please return the form by Feb. 12. We will collate all the orders and then she will bring them with her when she comes in March to see us again. This will save on the shipping charge.
Learning centers:
We are going to be writing Thankful postcards. The students will be writing to someone hopefully in their own household. If they are writing to someone not in their primary residence, then please send the address with your student so they can address their postcard.
Valentines Day:
This is a half-day. We will still hand out cards if students bring them in. We will be conducting a science experiment in the morning that we will be able to eat and enjoy before leaving at lunchtime. Therefore we will not need any treats to be brought into the class to be shared.
The ingredients are: Jello (strawberry or cherry), unflavoured gelatin, water, and whipping cream. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email me.
Library:
We are having a Super Circle for our Spring Concert on Tuesdays and then gym with the other grade 2 classes. This means we will be moving our library time to Thursdays at 1pm until spring break.
