Hello Everyone,
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED for Room 9
Telus Spark Science Center Field Trip:
We have two volunteers so far. Thank you to Dale and Tara for volunteering. It would be helpful to have at least a couple more volunteers. We have accounted for 5 per class. Angela is a away so please email me if you would like to volunteer. Thank you
Teacher’s Pet In-School Field Trip
We will be traveling back in time to the heart of an Acadian village. We will learn all about the daily life of a hustling and bustling Acadian village. We will need 3 volunteers to help run the stations as the students move from station to station throughout the morning. You will need to be here around 8:45am and you will be done by 11ish. Please let Angela know if you are able to volunteer. Thank you
Fun Lunch update:
Please note that we are not at school for our next Fun Lunch, which is Feb. 22. If you have already ordered, then you are able to go in and cancel your order.
Kindness starts here
Hi, it’s the give power hour. We want to let you know about an upcoming event. On Wednesday, February 22 we are trying to create a sea of pink. In the afternoon the grade 5/6 are hosting an assembly at 1:15 pm, please remember to wear pink. Stand up to bullies, not just on February 22 but all the time. Remember Kindness starts here!
Grade 2’s are away on a field trip that day but we can be a sea of pink at the science center.
Idea Lab Club
Mrs. Blanchard will be hosting a club in the Idea Lab on Thursday’s at lunch recess. It will begin next week with a rotating drop-in schedule for specific classes each week. There will be a variety of playful centers, provocations and design challenges available for exploration. No need to sign up, just drop-in on your classroom’s assigned date if you would like to join!
Grade 2’s get to go on March 2nd.
