A huge THANK YOU to Chelsea, Aaron, Masa, Jenn, Stephanie, and Heather for making our Urban Community Tour such an amazing field trip. Parent volunteers make our field trips possible and the best learning environment ever.
Volunteer note: We have one more trip on Thursday, June 23 from 1:30 to 2:30ish. This will be our summer ridge walk. I would appreciate at least a couple of volunteers. Last I heard we did not have any signed up yet. Please contact Andrea if you would like to join us. (PS – there is not as much walking as there was on the last field trip)
Library Books
Please return all books to the school. Thank you
Home Reading books
These also need to be returned this week so that we can go through and tidy up the baskets for next year.
Year-End Party on Friday, June 24
We thought that we would have ice cream sundaes with fresh fruit. Andrea is going to send out an email asking who would like to bring some ice cream or fresh fruit for our sundaes. There were suggestions of strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, pineapple, mango, cherries, cantaloupe, etc.

What have we learned today:
Please note that we have changed our way of describing our day. Instead of sharing what we have done today, we are sharing what we may have learned personally or together as a large group.
- We went outside for gym and we played Treasure Hunt with our grade 4 buddies. (CS)
- We planned a minecraft building with a buddy and we will get to build a house tomorrow. (KH)
- We had French and we got to play the spoons. (CS)
- We worked with fact families.
- We learned about new baking centers.
- We discussed our field trip yesterday. We had a long discussion about the lonely yellow house in the parking lot.
Daily Challenge:
If you could represent Calgary on a piece of your own public art, discuss with your family what might you put on your piece of public art.
