Hello Everyone,
Field Trip
We have decided that we would like to go to Fish Creek Park from the ridge where the Terry Fox Run was held. We would go down and look at the beaver dam and further investigate insects and other animals in their natural habitat.
We will be going down on June 22. We will be leaving at 8:45 and coming back in time for lunch (12 noon). We will be observing, sketching, painting, and exploring the area around the dam. There is an email being sent out to all parents from the office with more details.
We will need at least 2 volunteers but as many can come if they so wish. Please let Angela know if you can come. Thank you for all your support.
Sports Day
Sports Day is on Monday, June 26th in the morning. The students will go to the gym for 8:45 (to give staff time to set up) for whole school warm up with Mrs. Bezugley and Ms. Gray.
I would really appreciate it if there was a parent who could give me a hand with my station. My station is called, Arctic Jigging (actually it is an ice fishing game). I just need help with setting up and enjoying the activity. E-mail me if you are interested in going fishing!!
Year End Stuff
Here is a bit of heads up about some things for the end of the year.
1. Yearbook Autograph session – Monday, June 26th at 1pm
This is a chance for everyone to go around the school and get their yearbook signed.
If you did not purchase one, there are a few extra that can be purchased for $18.00. See Mrs. Pulfer in the office.
If your child does not have one or there is only one per family then an autograph sheet will be provided to those without a yearbook.
2. I plan on sending the majority of the things in their desk home on Tuesday, June 27th. Please send a bag for duo-tangs, journals, etc. Pencil cases will come home the next day.
3. There will be a celebration on June 28th in the afternoon. If you would like to send something to help our celebration, please contact Angela as she will be coordinating the food part of the celebration. We will be making Jelly Snacks as our treat
