Field Trip tomorrow
We have a couple of volunteers.
Please dress for the weather (red is necessary, green is preferred, and blue is optional): hoodie, raincoat, socks and good walking shoes, hat, sunscreen (put on at home), water bottle (non-leaking), bug repellant, snack, and sunglasses.
Please see below for a list of things we discussed if we encounter the cougar, coyote, or any other wild animal on our trip.
Sports Day
Sports Day is on Monday, June 26th in the morning. The students will go to the gym for 8:45 (to give staff time to set up) for whole school warm up with Mrs. Bezugley and Ms. Gray.
I would really appreciate it if there was a parent who could give me a hand with my station. My station is called, Arctic Jigging (actually it is an ice fishing game). I just need help with setting up and enjoying the activity. E-mail me if you are interested in going fishing!!
Year End Stuff
Here is a bit of heads up about some things for the end of the year.
1. Yearbook Autograph session – Monday, June 26th at 1pm
This is a chance for everyone to go around the school and get their yearbook signed.
If you did not purchase one, there are a few extra that can be purchased for $18.00. See Mrs. Pulfer in the office.
If your child does not have one or there is only one per family then an autograph sheet will be provided to those without a yearbook.
2. I plan on sending the majority of the things in their desk home on Tuesday, June 27th. Please send a bag for duo-tangs, journals, etc. Pencil cases will come home the next day.
3. There will be a celebration on June 28th in the afternoon. If you would like to send something to help our celebration, please contact Angela as she will be coordinating the food part of the celebration. We will be making Jelly Snacks as our treat.
1 meat/cheese plate
1 cracker plate
1 vegetable plate
2 fruit trays

Daily Challenge:
Share with your family the safety things we talked about for tomorrow’s field trip. Why are we going to making noise?
If you encounter a cougar or any other wild animal:
- Always leave room for the cougar to escape.
- Immediately pick up small children.
- Do not run.
- Do not turn your back on the cougar.
- Back away slowly.
- Make yourself appear as large as possible. Open your jacket if you are wearing one.
- Maintain eye contact with the cougar.
- The idea is to convince the cougar that you are not prey and that you may be a threat to it.
