Thinking Gum:
We have had a discussion about ‘thinking gum’ in the classroom. I do not have an issue with someone chewing small pieces of gum to help them focus upon their work. The rules are that they must remain seated, the gum is chewed quietly in the mouth, the gum stays in the mouth and we do not share it with others. The student is responsible for keeping it safe in their desk and using it as a tool to help them focus.

What have we learned today:
Please note that we have changed our way of describing our day. Instead of sharing what we have done today, we are sharing what we may have learned personally or together as a large group.
- Today, I learned that I need to listen to my partners while making leprechaun stuff. (LB)
- I learned how to make a leprechaun stuff. (LK)
- In library, we read our books. (CS)
- We went to an assembly and learned about soil and poop. (LB)
- While we were making leprechaun stuff, we learned that it cannot look like we were building leprechaun stuff. (MJ-S)
Daily Challenge:
We worked in groups making leprechaun stuff. What was difficult about working in groups and what did you enjoy while working in groups?
