Hello everyone,
We have started discussing Urban and Rural communities with our students in the classroom. We started with a picture sort to identify what we may see in the different communities. The students were asked to share with their families some similarities and differences they saw in the pictures. The challenge yesterday was to draw a picture of themselves in an urban or rural setting and to bring it into class to share. We have had a few come in and would like a few more before Spring Break to share with the class.

What have we learned today:
Please note that we have changed our way of describing our day. Instead of sharing what we have done today, we are sharing what we may have learned personally or together as a large group.
Daily Challenge:
Share with your family how to play Word Connector and give it a try at home. (Remember that you think of an object and then give one-word clues describing that object. The others can have a couple of guesses before you give them the next word.)
Here are my words for my object: long, skinny, wood, yellow, pointy, writing

- We had a Fish Creek Program and I learned that squirrels help our forest grow because they do not remember where they have hidden all their seeds. (ES)
- I learned in the science session that whenever you go to sleep your ears do not turn off. (KH)
- I learned in Fish Creek that if you see something and you want to take it home, you have to leave it at the park. (LB)
- In Buddies, we learned a new game called, Word Connector. (GO)
- We learned to eat something healthy and not always junk. (BH)
- We learned to try and keep a healthy meal to a specific amount of money. (Budgeting our meal to $12)
