Hello, from the GIVE power hour!
We are collecting new and gently used books.
These books are for seniors, babies, kids and adults.
We will be donating these to the Calgary Drop-in Center.
The book drive will go to May 24 2017.
Please bring books to room 5, Mrs. McKay’s room.
Thank you from the GIVE power hour.
Date changes:
Please note below that we have changed the date of our Bee Presentation as per request of the presenter. We will be having our presentation in the afternoon.
Poetea Party:
On Friday, June 2nd, we will be having our last Poetry Party. It has been changed to be a Poetea Party. We are inviting our parents to come, see and listen to us recite our poem of choice. It will start about 8:45am and be about 30-40 minutes. Afterwards we will have some tea and biscuits to round out our celebration of all our hard work.

- We had French and we went on the computers and we learned about our body parts. (GH)
- Mason lost a tooth. (CG)
- We had science and we went on the computers to search about pill bugs. (LB)
- We had art and we worked on our characters adding colour and details. (EH)
- We had gym and we practiced our basketball skills by playing Train Tag. (TW)
- We had another science and we organized our “I wonder” questions into categories that will help guide us in our research. (EH)
- In language arts, we did some story planning. (IH)
- We planned a new seating arrangement for a desk change in the classroom. (IH)
Daily Challenge:
Please share with your family what the different categories mean that we organized our questions. How does this help us with the information we read, hear, and learn about?
