Fort McMurray
The families of Beacon Hill School in Fort McMurray have lost everything. Their principal, Garrett Tebay and her librarian, have asked for our support. They would like to help their families rebuild their home libraries. Prince of Wales can help!! Clean out your bookshelves, order some new books from Scholastic or stop by your local bookstore. Please drop off NEW or Gently Used books at the school. Mrs. Tebay will pick them up when she is in Calgary and deliver them. Thank you for your help!

What have we learned today:
Please note that we have changed our way of describing our day. Instead of sharing what we have done today, we are sharing what we may have learned personally or together as a large group.
- We had French and we coloured our animal pictures. (CS)
- We learned what things are used to fasten other materials together. (CG)
- In Buddies, we learned how to draw a minion and BB8 by using letters and numbers. This was from a website called Muffalo Potato with an artist named John. (CM)
- We learned in math how to make the same length of a Cuisenaire rod to make it look like a burger using two other coloured rods. (KH)
- We reviewed our field trip and started to glue pictures down and write about what we saw, learned, liked, and noticed. (Room 9)
- In gym, we reviewed how to play treasure hunt. (CG)
Daily Challenge:
Today, we talked about fasteners and what kinds of fasteners you would use with different materials. You came up with many different kinds of fasteners. Take a look around your house and see what kinds of fasteners are in your house. Which of these fasteners allow you to move different materials like doors and which fasteners do not allow movement?
