Hello Everyone,
Classroom information:
I will be away next week, Wednesday, May 24 to Friday, May 26th. I am taking some personal days to spend with family.
Ms. Marnie Harrison will be in for those day. She and I have worked together in the past and I leave the class in her capable hands.
Hello, from the GIVE power hour!
We are collecting new and gently used books.
These books are for seniors, babies, kids and adults.
We will be donating these to the Calgary Drop-in Center.
The book drive will go to May 24 2017.
Please bring books to room 5, Mrs. McKay’s room.
Thank you from the GIVE power hour.
Date changes:
Please note below that we have changed the date of our Bee Presentation as per request of the presenter. We will be having our presentation in the afternoon.
Poetea Party:
On Friday, June 2nd, we will be having our last Poetry Party. It has been changed to be a Poetea Party. We are inviting our parents to come, see and listen to us recite our poem of choice. It will start about 8:45am and be about 30-40 minutes. Afterwards we will have some tea and biscuits to round out our celebration of all our hard work.

Daily Challenge:
We have been looking at insects so that we can create a habitat diorama. We will be doing research of this insect. We will be making our final selection next week. The website below has lots of insects that we can find here in Alberta and even in our back yard. Please share with your family this website and take a look at all the different ones and maybe choose one you would like to learn more about.
