What we did today:
- We went to gym and we tried to knock over the big soccer balls on the other side/team. (MJ-S)
- We went to music and we sang and listened to Halloween songs. (LH)
- We drew a neighbourhood where we are going to go Trick or Treating. (BS)
- We had French and practiced counting in French some Halloween symbols. (SZ)
- We played Keep Away in the gym. (KH)
- We played bump in the morning. (CG)
- We measured all the way around our pumpkins with some string. (ES) Measuring all the way around an object is called circumference. (CG)
- We read our just right books to ourselves. (LB)
- We were introduced to our new learning centers that will start tomorrow.
- We looked at a picture of the Jack Singer Concert Hall when Miss Konno was there on Saturday and looked for what was the same and different when we saw it on Tuesday. (MJ-S)
Daily Challenge:
We estimated (made a good guess) how much string would go around our pumpkins. We then took our string and measured to see how close we were in our estimate. Share with your family if your string was too short, too long, or just right. We then took our string to find something that measured the length of our estimate. Take a look around your house, is there anything you think will be the same length as your string. Remember that you are estimating so it should be a good guess.
