Thank you to CG’s Mom and GO’s Mom for volunteering on Friday for the Terry Fox Run.
Mindful Activity:
We will be doing a mindful activity tomorrow where we may end up eating some grapes. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me via email or voicemail.
Visual Journal Collage
The students will customize their visual journal covers to turn it into a personal treasure! Please help them collect images to create a collage, to be completed at school. The collages will represent the students' identities -- their favourite activities, foods, culture, memories, personality traits, family, etc. Images can include photographs, printed pictures, magazine images, words, and drawings. We request to keep items 2-D so that the collages can be laminated. Thank you for your support with this project! Please return items in red envelope for September 21.
Scholastic Book Orders
Order forms have been sent home. The students are aware that the final say in what or if any books get ordered is the choice of Mom or Dad. This is an opportunity to purchase books for your family and help out in the classroom. A percentage of the monies spent on books are returned to the teacher to purchase other books/resources for the classroom. If you would like the books to be kept a secret, please let me know by email. It takes about 2 – 3 weeks for the books to come in from when they are entered into the computer. There is a new payment method of using your credit card. I have registered for it and the letter steps you through it. I will also accept cash/cheques but prefer cheques that are made out to Scholastic Canada Ltd.

Daily Challenge:
Today we sorted our shoes. We found out that we can keep sorting shoes until there is only one shoe in each group. Looking at our sorting picture, can you tell me in the comment section how we sorted out the shoes and the attributes we used? (Hint: shoes -> mostly black -> white rim -> ______) What are some other things that we could sort in our world?
