A HUGE THANK YOU to Georgeta, Ursula, and Serena for walking with us to the ridge. Thank you to Ryan who joined us on our run/walk as well.
Bonjour,
Have you had a chance to check out the Division 1 French blog? You can find it by scrolling down to the very bottom of the student agenda page. Click on the link under Mme Pallesen's photo. Here is the direct link: http://sgpallesen.weebly.com/blog
Each week, Mme Pallesen will summarize what the students are working on, and include links to the songs and activities they have been sharing in class. Don't forget to leave a comment. She loves to read them.
Au revoir!
Visual Journal Collage
The students will customize their visual journal covers to turn it into a personal treasure! Please help them collect images to create a collage, to be completed at school. The collages will represent the students' identities -- their favourite activities, foods, culture, memories, personality traits, family, etc. Images can include photographs, printed pictures, magazine images, words, and drawings. We request to keep items 2-D so that the collages can be laminated. Thank you for your support with this project! Please return items in red envelope for September 21.
Scholastic Book Orders
Order forms have been sent home. The students are aware that the final say in what or if any books get ordered is the choice of Mom or Dad. This is an opportunity to purchase books for your family and help out in the classroom. A percentage of the monies spent on books are returned to the teacher to purchase other books/resources for the classroom. If you would like the books to be kept a secret, please let me know by email. It takes about 2 – 3 weeks for the books to come in from when they are entered into the computer. There is a new payment method of using your credit card. I have registered for it and the letter steps you through it. I will also accept cash/cheques but prefer cheques that are made out to Scholastic Canada Ltd.

What we did today:
- We went to an assembly and watched a video about Terry Fox and watched people get the head shaved or ponytail chopped. (Room 9)
- We went on our Terry Fox run on the ridge. (EE)
- We played bump in the morning. (GO)
- We had a sing-a-long with Paulo – Mrs. Morin’s dad.
Daily Challenge:
What was your favourite moment of the Terry Fox run? We ran for a 1/2 an hour... How do you think Terry Fox felt running for 8 hours every day?
