We have a room coordinator!!! A HUGE THANK YOU TO Andrea Tate for volunteering to keep us all organized.
Her email is [email protected]
If you would like to volunteer for any of the field trips that are in our upcoming dates, then please email her with the ones you would like to accompany us on. We do have some flexibility with some of the trips we have in terms of the number of parent volunteers that we can take with us. A notice will be coming home to parents/guardians about our field trips for the year to help you with your planning.

What we did today:
- We had a grade one superstorm and we talked about what is art. (ES)
- We talked about Prince of Wales – PoWer Hour and the activities that we can chose. (GO)
- We played a word game where we were given clues and had to figure out what the word was. (MJ-S)
- We had someone come in before recess to teach us about math. Her name was Mrs. Lorway. We used number chunks to make puzzles for others to guess. (LO)
- We had Ms. Reis read us a story while eating snack as Miss Konno was at a meeting. (BS)
- We did Make, Tell, and Show with our play dough and we had to make something that started with ‘l’. (BH)
- We listened to some music and drew what we heard. We used colours and shapes to describe what we heard. (KH)
- We did not go to gym because we had a late recess due to Mrs. Lorway coming into our classroom. (BB)
- We played bump and there were new bump games to play. (SZ)
Daily Challenge:
Today, we listened to a piece of music called, Royal Canadian Sketches, which was about the Alberta landscape. We then drew what we heard in terms of colours and shapes depending on what part we were listening to at that moment. Try this with your family, listening to a piece of music and share with each other, the colours and shapes you ‘saw’ when listening to the music.
