Hello everyone,
Library
Currently our library exchange day is Wednesday after recess. The students are taking out books that they have an interest in. When we are more comfortable with the process of signing out books, then the students may have other opportunities to exchange books on other days. Mrs. Cornford is in the library on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday until around 1:30pm. When the students feel they can be responsible, they may take out two books.
We have a room coordinator!!! A HUGE THANK YOU TO Andrea Tate for volunteering to keep us all organized.
Her email is [email protected]
If you would like to volunteer for any of the field trips that are in our upcoming dates, then please email her with the ones you would like to accompany us on. We do have some flexibility with some of the trips we have in terms of the number of parent volunteers that we can take with us. A notice will be coming home to parents/guardians about our field trips for the year to help you with your planning.

- We made a new cover for our visual journals using pictures and artifacts that are important to us. (KH)
- We had snack. (CS)
- We went to music and we sang, Criss Cross Applesauce. (ES)
- We coloured our own ‘Elmer’ elephants for national elephant appreciation day. (GO)
- We went out for recess. (CG)
- We had French and watched a new video about Tonton eating a banana. (GT)
- We listened to a fish lullaby in French. (EE)
- We did go noodle now that it works on the computer. (LH)
- We wrote in our journals using yellow lines to help us write letters in the right spaces. (KH)
- We played bump and solved a math problem about a dolphin eating fish.
Daily Challenge:
Last week we looked at a group of letters called the ‘flag pole’ letters because they start at the top and go straight down like a flagpole. This week we are looking at a group called ‘half-moon’ letters. Share with your family what letters are in this group? (Hint: think of what a half-moon looks like)
